The evenings are very cool, leaves are falling way too fast, but many of my roses are doing great things! There is a lot said about the last rose of summer and much of it is sad. I tend to get sad as the days get shorter and I remember what winter is like in my neck of the woods. But no sadness today … many of my roses look great — especially if you don’t look too close at some of their late season “naked knees”!

Some of the companions are looking pretty good too since we’ve had so many wonderful rains!

Hope you have a super great week!

About Teresa / TheGardenDiary.com
I know that to everything there is a season, but I’m a gardener and I start counting the days until spring the day after Christmas. I love roses and get completely giddy when it is time for my historical roses to bloom in early June. I live and grow in Zone 5b where I take care of my 175+ roses and their companions. Gardeners are in good company ... Genesis 2:8. Follow my garden experiences @ http://thegardendiary.com.
Everything is looking beautiful, as usual!
We don’t take this season for granted. We could get frost at the drop of a hat!
