nks to Mr. G’s superb handiwork, my roses and their companions live in a gated community. In no way are these gates opening today! We have had 15″ on fluffy snow and it is packed. With the extreme temperatures (-37 windchill / -8 real temp), this snow isn’t going anywhere.
But, the gates are still pretty…
Here are some other shots I took this morning as I waded into snow up to my knees — but, man, was it good to be outside!
Hard to believe that in a few months we will be back to this…

PS if a heater can go in your birdbath, your back yard birds can have a drink during this horrible cold spell…to help keep them hydrated…xo

What an amazing transition your garden makes! Unfortunately the only difference here is that in winter, nothing grows and its soaking wet
Where do you have your garden?
I have an allotment and garden in the south of England. So its not cold enough to really snow in the winter, just rains. Although the summers can be really nice. Hot but bearable
My dream is to get to visit England some day! So, I look forward to “visiting” England via your blog! Teresa

I am looking out at 2 more inches of fresh snow. Although it can be enchanting, we’d had PLENTY of enchanting snow this year and I am so excited to welcome spring! 🙂
