One of the first comments I receive about my garden is how glad visitors are that I have plant markers for my roses! People (especially my hubby) seem to love knowing what they are looking at. Just this week a visitor said, I can’t believe what interesting names your roses have.” Interesting names! That’s just the beginning … I consider that kind of comment an open door for the stories I love to tell about my roses!

I do love to hear stories about plants. I have read the history of a lot of herbs. It would be fun if you told the story of your roses. Or maybe you have?
Chris, I can so identify with needing the gauntlet gloves. I am now carrying tweezers in my purse to remove the thorns that my roses kiss me with on a regular basis.

The first if not the second thing folks who visit my garden say is,”I like them labels you have”, as you can tell my visitors like me don’t always speak proper English but one thing we all have in common is that we appreciate a plant label……I’m not familiar with the type you have but going to look into it, right now I use a plastic label printer that puts out a black backgrounded tape with white letters. I put the variety/hybrid name and latin name too. It helps me when I give tours or walk arounds as I call them cause even though I live and die with my plants sometimes I forget names.
