While we are not fully into the second flush of rose blooms and the Japanese Beetles are munching away but there’s some bloomin’ going on around here.

Hopefully we will be saying goodbye to these ugly bugs soon.
Until then… I’ll keep drowning them in soapy water!
If these guys are “bugging” you and you want to know more, you can read an article that Dr. Mark Windham, a name I trust, recommended here.
Well … enough about bugs!
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY AND HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND! 🐞
Nary a bug in your gardens NOR fungus! How do you do it T?
Oh Teresa, your blooms are looking gorgeous, and I love all the pink, I went through a phase when all I wanted to paint was pink roses, although I have been having fun with the lavender and coffee colours lately, and you can’t beat the excitement of painting red roses, or the challenge of white blooms which are usually anything but pure white… yes, I guess I love painting them all! I had never heard of the Japanese beetles before reading your posts. I don’t know if we have them here in Australia, but we did discover a frog when we were digging in the garden today! We have some frogs which hibernate in the ground and come out in the rain. Luckily we didn’t hurt him and he enjoyed a little shower from the watering can and then hopped away.
I can’t read the Japanese beetle article because you need full access rights and I am not affiliated with a university. It said you can use a trial subscription to Deep Dyve, so maybe I will try that later.
Never too much pink in the garden!! So far, no Japanese Beetles here, but I’m saving the article just in case. And, what’s going on with the yarrow this year? Mine are usually about 18″ tall, but some have shot up to five feet this year.
Lots of garden goodness. 🙂 Thanks Teresa, and Cynthia for sharing!
Our pleasure! Have a wonderful day. Gonna be a hot one here! And humid! 🌹
yup, here too. 🙂
An amazing garden and stunning photos! All are lovely but the Julia Child is my favorite. Good luck with the beetles!
Julia is a fav for sure! Beetles population seems to be diminishing!! #thankful
The roses are so colorful and very beautiful!
Oh so beautiful!!! Wonderful pictures! Tina
Glad you enjoyed them. Today we had rain and it left us with a steaming evening. Thing are looking very “jungley” out there! 🙂
