It is amazing how even a brief shower can refresh…
We are having the worse drought on record in our garden–only 2 five-minute rains in 9 weeks and one was today.
On this “shaky” tour (I was so excited it was raining.), you will see the ever-present garden hose, brown lawn, my MooPoo bucket, a few iffy shrubs in desperate need of water and even some roses who particularly liked the rain!
So, today we are celebrating our refreshing 5-minutes and trusting the weatherman that says a bit more may be on the way! Fingers crossed!
Your garden looks beautiful despite the drought. We got a little shower this morning and we are hoping for more rain tonight. I have never seen things this dry….very sad for all the plants, trees, shrubs, vegetables, and flowers!! I worry about how our yards will look next summer!! All the best!!!
We have actually lost several shrubs and small evergreens. And, we have a couple of our dogwood trees that look really bad. We are thankful for our well so we an water some things. Hope all is well with you!
We call those “pickle showers!” Just enough to revive the curling leaves on the cucumber vines. 🙂
Oh how right you are Kylee!
Enjoyed taking this little stroll through your garden. Everything looks lovely despite the drought. Have I told you lately how envious I am of your garden? 🙂
It has been my labor of love for many years! Thanks for the kind words!
All that tender loving care shows! You have a great eye for gardening design, beauty and charm Teresa. 🙂
Looks lovely in spite of the drought. Your landscaping has good bones! Thanks for the tour. I hope you get the rain you all need down there. ~ Wendy
We are in the same water situation as you… I hope you got last night’s rain. Amazing how much more good a sweet rainstorm can accomplish than so many weeks of trying to keep things watered.
You are so right about rain doing more than we can with our garden hose. Today things look so much fresher that they have in 8 weeks! We could sure you some more rain, but I am thankful! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you get some rain too.
