This week the weather was much more pleasant for being outdoors — cooler temps with a tiny drop in humidity. While I was out tackling the weeds, I was completely stopped by beautiful blooms, bees and bugs all around me. How am I ever to get the weeding done with so much wonder to catch my eye — and time! And, it is hard to dead head right now because the pollinators don’t seem to mind the shabbiness of faded blooms. Seeing the wonders of nature taking their time doing their sweet work, challenged this natural born busy-bee-plate-spinner — to slow down and take it all in.
So today I will share some of God’s natural wonder that surrounds me…

Below is one the largest blooms of Belinda I have ever seen – over 5″. Gorgeous, fragrant and disease resistant! If you don’t have this one, I think you would love it!

Glad we have a long weekend… Tomorrow I start weeding and getting things a bit more tidy – really!! 🙂

Your garden looks great! We are still seeing a few JBs in my area as well. I hope this is not an indication their season will gradually extend into autumn. Curious if you could share the name of the delicate pink rose in the photos with a JB? I’m working few hours each week in the Biltmore Rose Garden. We just finished deadheading the entire garden this week. Some of the trial roses are looking great. Some not so great. Looking forward to the jury day and seeing all of my rose friends!

The delicate pink rose is Quietness / A Buck Rose. I have 6 of these roses. It is tall, fragrant! AND DISEASE RESISTANT! It is one of my favorites. I have had this roses in my garden for about 5 years. See you soon!
Hi, I’m a recent follower. Loved the tour and the garden visitors and I could almost smell the roses.
I cut some Quietness, Mother of Pearl and At Last to bring in and my kitchen smells great. Hoping we have growing time for a lot more blooms as the JB move away! October 10ish is our “frost date.” Hoping for sooooo much more! T

Our’s have suffered. First from torrents of rain everyday. There are areas of pretty and areas of not so pretty! I do need to weed and deadhead! LOL Enjoy the fall. T

Not only do the flowers look great, but those are great pictures of them; well, and the critters too. Nasturtium are still rad!
