To me there is nothing … nothing! like the rebirth of spring. Just when I think things are as dead as dead can be, the green reappears… Reminds of what an amazing Creator we have.
All of a sudden there are little bits of green everything. I don’t want to blink …. afraid I will miss something! ONE of my favorite spring bloomers is the saucer magnolia. I don’t have one, but there is one about 2 miles from me that I get to enjoy. I keep driving by to watch it unfold! I hope I don’t get branded a stalker by going by so often! From the look of the buds, is going to be spectacular this year!
I have a baby Chanticleer Pear tree that is going to bloom for the first time this year. I can’t wait!

People often ask me what is my favorite spring bloom. It is too hard for me to decide. Seems it is whatever is blooming at the time!
I hope you are enjoying spring where you live. Do you have a favorite spring bloomer?
I have a smallish star magnolia that is fully budded. It reminds me of pussy willow. I’ve seen cuttings of these budded branches in many arrangements. When the soon to be bursting stars cover their leafless branches, the contrast is so intriguing. Happy spring friend!
I am right now staring down my pear tree, don’t want to miss the “grand opening!” Rain is coming and the first bloom could be knocked to the ground! LOL
One of my favourite spring bloomers is my Pink Dawn Viburnum. It bloom a little all through the winter, but puts on a big show in February and March.
My crab apples are my favorite, I think. But, like you, I like anything that’s blooming! I hope your pear has gorgeous blooms. Yeah for spring!
It is so hard to pick a spring favorite, but I can tell you that nothing compares to when my old roses bloom! That will happen in late May and early June.
We have the most beautiful magnolias at the entrance to our neighborhood. So fragrant. It’s awesome to God’s hand at work in the Spring…..
We actually went to the nursery this morning to look at a magnolia! We’d love to have one!
